"A Touch of Hope" is a 1999 TV movie directed by Craig R. Baxley. It is based on the autobiography of Dean Kraft, a hands-on healer.
The plot revolves around Dean Kraft's discovery of his healing abilities after comforting a car accident victim. The movie explores his journey to come to terms with these abilities and confront the skepticism of the medical profession.
Adaptation of the autobiography of Dean Kraft by Dean and Rochelle Kraft. The story focuses on Dean's abilities as a hands-on healer and his battle with the medical establishment. His life is surprisingly and inexplicably changed when he comforts the victim of a car accident and observes the victim being healed by his extraordinary touch. He struggles to accept his unique gift and goes so far as to try to save his father, a stroke victim, from death. Under the guidance of Doctor Blundell, who encourages Kraft's healing experiments with the sick and dying, the young man's attempts at hands-on healing become more successful. However, Kraft must contend with those who think he is a fake. Among the disbelievers is Blundell's supervisor, a doctor whose own daughter lies in a coma
