The 1994 TV movie, “Sin & Redemption,” stars Richard Grieco as Jim McDaniels and Cynthia Gibb as Billie Simms.
The movie's plot centers on Billie, a high schooler who is raped on her way home from work and becomes pregnant. Her religious father, a minister played by Ralph Waite, pressures her to give up the baby. However, Billie is unable to abandon her child. Eventually, Billie meets Jim McDaniels, and they get married.
Years later, their daughter develops a serious illness, leading Billie to discover the shocking truth: Jim was her attacker. The movie then explores the themes of sin, redemption, and the complex relationship between Billie and Jim.
