Michael Riley wishes to be 17 again, a wish that unexpectedly comes true. Going back to the high school where he first fell in love with Laura, Mick is initially thrilled to be young again. However, when he finds Laura, he discovers she is now a widow with two children—and he finally realizes the true reason they broke up years ago. As Laura helps Mick understand that there is no going back to the past, he ultimately learns to accept who he is. When he turns back into a middle-aged man, he is ready for a fresh, new start with Laura.
