Someone She Knows is a 1994 NBC television film directed by Eric Laneuville. It is a crime drama and thriller based on a true story. The movie follows Laurie Philips, played by Markie Post, as she investigates the murder of her five-year-old daughter after the local police fail to solve the crime. She is helped by State Trooper Frank Mayfield, played by Gerald McRaney. Her investigation leads her to the terrifying conclusion that the killer may be someone she knows.
A desperate mother becomes detective to solve her 5 year-old daughter's death. The authorities suspect that the girl has been killed by a well-known person of the family.
