A routine traffic stop turns deadly. A white corporate executive, Sally Rawlings (Dana Delany), is having a private moment with her Black ex-husband, Vincent Morgan (Vondie Curtis-Hall), in his car. Two police officers, Officer Dan Wexler (Keith Carradine) and Officer David Bontempo (Justin Theroux), approach the vehicle, and Wexler, acting on racist assumptions, kills the unarmed Vincent.

The department covers it up. The police department covers up the incident, claiming that Wexler's actions were justified. With no one to help her, Sally is left on her own to uncover the truth.

Sally fights for justice. Thwarted by the corrupt system, Sally decides to take the law into her own hands. She begins to investigate the rogue officers herself, risking her life to expose the police conspiracy.

A white woman relentlessly seeks justice against two racist policemen who accidentally killed her black ex-husband and had their department cover it up.
