Magic Island is a 1995 direct-to-video fantasy-adventure film about a bored teenager who is magically transported into a pirate book. Produced by Moonbeam Entertainment, the family-friendly arm of Full Moon Features, the film is known for its low-budget, cheesy, and nostalgic 90s aesthetic, complete with wacky characters and special effects.

The story follows 13-year-old Jack Carlisle, played by Zachery Ty Bryan of Home Improvement fame, who feels neglected and misunderstood after his parents separate.
- The magical book: Deciding to run away from home, Jack is stopped by his housekeeper, Lucretia, who convinces him to read a "magic book" instead.
- The adventure begins: While reading the book, Jack is literally sucked into its pages and finds himself in the middle of a pirate adventure on the legendary Magic Island.
- A new crew: Jack teams up with the brave buccaneer Prince Morgan, the tough Gwyn, and the religious Dumas.
- Fearsome foes: Together, they must race to find the island's ultimate treasure before the villainous pirate Blackbeard and his bumbling crew get to it first.
Jack Carlisle is a disillusioned 13-year old boy. His mother is always away at work since his father left. He decides to run away, as his mom won't miss him. As he is ready to leave, his nanny, convinces him to read this 'magic book'. The book is about a pirate adventure on Magic Island. As Jack reads the book, he is sucked into the world and goes on numerous adventures with Prince Morgan, while fleeing the evil Blackbeard the Pirate. He is even saved by Lily, a beautiful mermaid, whom he falls in love with.
