Plot
The plot centers around Wendy's parents, played by Shirley Knight and Ronny Cox, who initially seem welcoming but gradually reveal a manipulative plan to keep their daughter close to home and undermine her marriage. Wendy's younger brother, played by George Newbern, is caught in the middle as he is also pressured to stay with his parents instead of pursuing a relationship with his fiancee (Kristen Cloke).
