"Rescuers: Stories of Courage: Two Couples" is a 1998 TV movie that features two true stories of individuals who risked their lives during World War II to save Jewish people from the Holocaust. It is based on the book "Rescuers: Portraits of Moral Courage in the Holocaust".
The movie consists of two segments:
- "Aart and Joht Je Vos": This story follows Aart (played by Martin Donovan) and Johtje Vos (played by Dana Delany), a young Dutch couple in Amsterdam who provide forged identification papers to hundreds of Jewish immigrants, saving them from Nazi persecution.
- "Marie Taquet": This segment focuses on Emile Taquet (played by Alfred Molina) and his wife Marie (played by Linda Hamilton) in Jamoigne, Belgium. They run a Catholic school for the sons of American prisoners and decide to take in dozens of Jewish boys, creating tension amongst the other students.
