Betrayed by Love is a 1994 American television biographical drama/thriller film based on the true story of the murder of FBI informant Susan Daniels Smith by FBI agent Mark Putnam, who was also in a romantic relationship with her. The film aired on January 17, 1994, on the ABC network.
Plot
The film follows FBI Agent Jeff Avery, who hopes to advance his career by combating crime in his rural posting. He uses paid informants, one of whom is Deanna, who abuses drugs and sees Avery as a way out of her difficult life. They become lovers, and Deanna eventually becomes pregnant. Faced with a potential scandal that could derail his career and personal life, Avery snaps, leading to a tragic outcome,
